I then overlay the “crop” shape over the area of the image and “Slice”. Another topic that frequently comes up is cropping an image. There may be a time you just want a part of a design and Ungrouping the elements is not an option.

They’re gonna cut on different colors of paper, but sometimes it’s still useful to do that. If we welded them right now, what will happen is they become one image and they will change to be the same color. So now they’re both purple, and they’re one image. The only way to undo a weld is to like immediately undo it. Well, there are some other ways actually, but not the way that you just did it. You can’t just go, oh, I decided, you know, like a day later to undo it.

Wide Variety of Designs

Now there’s a number of ways that you can join things and they’re easy to confuse with one another, so let’s talk about them. Templates is a feature that’s only available on desktop and clicking on it lets you choose a template to help you design something. Once you choose a template, it will put the outline onto your canvas for you. You can even resize it to be a different size, if you want.

You can select more than one at a time, so I can click on that butterfly too, and it shows up right next to it. So if I keep scrolling and I’m like, oh, hey, I want a snail too. But I just want the deer, so we’re gonna go up and unselect that one.

Cricut Design Space has some basic vectorization capabilities but it is limited which enables you to use bitmap images. One of the first things that happens is you get a project, you upload the project file and it is really big or it’s somewhere else on the canvas and you have no idea where it went. After clicking on “Projects” icon in the left tool bar, you will see Projects for All Categories. Filter for specific project types in the drop down menu. All previously saved project and Cricut Access projects can be accessed via the Projects icon in the Canvas View. Kate will guide you through a beginner-friendly vinyl sticker project, covering the basics of Design Space, using your cutting machine, and working with vinyl.

So you can click on this and you can get a third heart. So there’s three ways to duplicate, basically, but I only want two hearts. The Upload button allows you to upload a variety of images to your Canvas. To learn how to upload SVG cut files, please watch my detailed training series at SVGs Made Simple. The downside for Design Space is its variety.

Cricut Cutting Problems: Tips for Cleaner Cuts

Thank you so much for joining me for your Cricut Kickoff. I hope this has helped you get on the path to success in making all of those awesome things that you can imagine and wanna fill your home with and give to your family and friends. And if you do, please share photos in my group. So when we click the green make it up here, we go to our Mat Prepare screen. And this is another place for us to double check our work before we continue on. So we’re looking to make sure that things are on the mats the way that we think they should be.

So, what if you don’t already have your own images? There are a variety of places to find free images to bring into Cricut Design Space. Cricut Joy has a simpler app you can also use, to help you create quick projects on the go. Find out more about the Cricut Joy app here.

Once this happens, projects that contain Access images won’t be available unless you pay for the Access membership. This doesn’t mean you won’t’ be able to create new projects with Design Space. This benefit will continue for the lifetime of your use of these machines.” Read full letter here. To continue using projects that you created in Design Space that have images from Access, you’ll need to continue to pay. If you don’t want to pay for Access anymore, you can still use Design Space by using their free designs or by creating or importing your own. You can also size an image by clicking on the image and using the arrow box that appears in the bottom right-hand corner of your image.

Basically, if you currently owned a Cricut machine or purchased one before the end of 2021 then you would still be allowed an unlimited number of image uploads. Cricut Design Space is Cricut’s design software (check out more software options) that lets you cut with the Cricut Maker, Cricut Joy, and Cricut Explore machines. Older machines like the Cricut Expression 2 and Cricut Mini used the older software known as Cricut Craft Room, which is no longer available (sorry!). Say you want to change the colors of the flowers. If you want to print it to a specific color, then you can use the color drop down menu to select your color.

For more information, see the developer’s privacy policy. It took Cricut a while to release its app for Chromebooks but it works now and can be downloaded from the Google Play store. It's still not perfect, and if possible we recommend using a PC or Windows tablet. The big advantage to using Affinity Designer is that it can zoom in over 1,000,000%, which means you can get stuck in to every little detail of your designs.

I actually now will put the SVG in the file name to help you find it. The actual video that this came from, this is in a series called jennifermaker.com/svgs. And if we go up here to the line type menu, next to the menu that says cut, which is our default, our default choice is to cut, we have currently a dark gray box.

So it just went right to my computer and let’s see, and we can go to my computer where it actually downloaded, but I just need to close one of these windows. I have it set, Chrome, actually, Google Chrome, which is what I’m using, I have it set to unzip all my files. I don’t ever have to worry about it, and here is the file itself that we will be using. Now, I think more of you use a Windows computer than a Mac computer. Here we are in the library, and this is is a video of me on my Windows computer. Now, what I’d like to do is join these two hearts together permanently.

So I’m gonna kind of offset them like this and create a new shape that looks like two hearts together. Now, right now, they’re two separate hearts. We can tell because when I click on them, the border is around that each one individually and over in the layers menu, I have one heart here and one heart here. And even though I’ve arranged them the way that I want, they will not cut out this way yet. We have to give our Cricut more instruction than this.

If your project includes multiple layers of iron-on (HTV), watch this quick tutorial. Learn the fundamentals of crafting and creating with paper, including paper cards, 3D shapes, paper flowers, and more. There are a ton of benefits to using free SVG cut files — here’s how they can help you get the most out of your crafting projects. Printing with your Cricut has to be done via Design Space, but it can merely act as a middleman between your software of choice and your printer machine. All you need to do is make sure you save your file as an SVG, meaning it can be scaled to any size without loss of quality. You will need to create an account to access Vecteezy, which some may not be inclined to do. Vectr is a free to use browser-based vector design app that has enough tools to create basic designs, such as logos, patterns and more.

Good crust is my favorite part of eating pie, so it’s a key step to master as I set out on my baking journey. This recipe from Noelle Carter includes tips from local chefs and bakers, including Nicole Rucker of micro-bakery Fat & Flour. In the recipe, Carter provides guidance on how to choose the right fat for your crust, whether to use a metal, glass or ceramic pie dish and more. As someone who is led by intuition in the kitchen, often measuring by eye and substituting ingredients on a whim, I sometimes find baking intimidating. It requires precision and even science — at the very least, a respect for how certain elements interact.

House of Intuition : Your Go-To for Spiritual Wellness

Both Vargas and Naranjo come from business backgrounds; Vargas started her career as an office manager in medical offices before starting her first business, a company that managed medical billing. She then opened a paintball store — “I have a son who loved paintballing, so I was like, Oh, sure. I’m gonna open up a paintball store” — and eventually got into real estate. Joseph Mikels, professor of psychology at DePaul University, has researched intuition as an emotional process that can lead to better decision-making, especially when matters are complex. He found this to be especially true for older adults whose cognitive faculties might not always be as sharp as younger people’s, showing that intuition is even more critical with age.

When you need to make decisions, make it a habit to also consult your feelings on the matter. When you need to make a decision between options A and B, for example, sit with your eyes closed for a moment. You might notice one makes you tense up while the other makes you feel relaxed.

An Objective Assessment: Should You Shop Here?

She grew up across San Diego and Riverside and has happily called Los Angeles home for more than 15 years. Pies seem especially difficult, requiring that you master several parts and successfully put them together. There’s the crust, the filling and optional flourishes such as latticed pastry tops. The more I thought about it, the more a pie seemed like the perfect vehicle for celebrating my eventual blueberry bounty.

Xochitl Gomez’s 5 favorite Latino-owned businesses in L.A.

They long avoided using their LGBTQ identities or their immigrant backgrounds “as leverage,” they write. But they came to recognize the importance of highlighting their upbringings and the struggles behind their success. But she put the magic she learned to use, she said, helping her mother, who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Naranjo performed rituals for her healing and made offerings to the mountains and oceans. Naranjo was introduced to magic two decades ago when she immersed herself in a religion that cropped up in Cuba and involved sacred drum circles, the summoning of spirits through trance and familiar Catholic prayers. But she left after being told she had to be initiated to continue with ceremonies.

MONEY AND ABUNDANCE

With so many options to enchant your days, I set out to assess their bestselling offerings through first-hand testing. Vargas, 50, and Naranjo, 54, said they both still personally infuse all of the oils, scrubs and candles they sell at their stores and online. Following her rescue, Jaycee and her two daughters moved in with her mother, Terry, in an undisclosed location in Northern California. Jaycee retained custody of her two daughters, and the trio attempted to achieve a new sense of normalcy following their years of captivity.

However, later that same month, both Phillip and Nancy pleaded guilty to kidnapping and rape charges, The New York Times reported. In June 2011, Phillip was sentenced to 431 years in prison while Nancy received a sentence of 36 years to life. Both waived the right to appeal as part of their sentences — but they are eligible for parole as early as 2034.

Some rituals require no more than space to assemble an impromptu altar; others require a bowl with crystals and oils. They demand only inspiration, which can come from nowhere or from established traditions. To this day, Naranjo and Vargas still incorporate some Catholic prayers into their magic rituals. There is no set ‘God’ in magic,” the authors write.

The community rallied in support of Jaycee and her family — holding fundraisers, passing out flyers and hanging pink ribbons throughout the town (in honor of Jaycee’s favorite color, pink). Meanwhile, her mother, Terry Probyn, constantly wished to see her daughter again. Our intuition is dimmed if we are constantly listening to news, opinions, and entertainment. Amplify time for listening to something other than the loud and raucous everyday. What we don’t realize, however, is that intuition is a form of cognition that can actually improve our decision-making. Latinos to share their favorite Latino-owned businesses.

This has given us the opportunity to grow while staying open and non-conforming. House of Intuition is a metaphysical oasis dedicated to enlightening, empowering and uplifting our community.

The chain started in 2010 with a small shop offering tarot readings in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Echo Park. They also advise readers on how to create an altar, work with crystals and candles and make offerings to ancestors. In 2010, they founded House of Intuition, a spiritual wellness brand and metaphysical oasis dedicated to enlightening, empowering, and uplifting those who feel hopeless and lost. Experiencing their fair share of heartache and struggle, Naranjo and Vargas chose not to lose themselves to the ashes of despair, but rather rise from the ruins and create a life of beauty and inspiration. As a longtime consumer and product testing specialist, I‘ve explored my fair share of online shops over the past decade. From mass retailers to artisanal boutiques, few have captured my curiosity like House of Intuition.

For a state that is grappling with more frequent and severe periods of drought, the last two wet winters have come as a rare bounty. However, many Californians may be surprised to learn that these two wet seasons fall within the realm of natural variability. They may also be surprised to learn that this year has delivered more atmospheric rivers than the previous year, which caused far more damage and disruption. For years, scientists have said that atmospheric rivers can either make or break the water supplies of thirsty California cities and farms.

Morales apprenticed with G S Garcia in Elko, NV before moving to Pendleton, Oregon and opening a bit and spur department for Hamley & Co in 1910. Seven years later Morales moved to Los Angeles where he continued to work until his death in 1935. LA4LA is already partnering with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, a state-chartered agency that administers the city’s public housing developments, to provide loans to buy buildings. The systems aren’t typically accompanied by thunderstorms, but several systems were this season, driving locally historic rainfall and flash flooding in several areas, including San Diego and Oxnard. Hecht said one strong, slow-moving atmospheric river in early February had an outsized effect on the region’s rainfall, and he noted that many areas were also hit by thunderstorms during what he called “overly productive” weak atmospheric river storms.

Donna Bojarsky, co-founder of a nonprofit dedicated to building civic culture in L.A., predicts that Bass’ deep commitment to alleviating homelessness will spur people to give to LA4LA. And city taxpayers of all income levels have already funded billions of dollars in spending to reduce homelessness, even as the population on the streets and in temporary housing has continued to increase. Go to the blue door and try to exit. See a mail inserted under the door. It is one of several threatening mails Minette has received. Tea preparation - Minette wants you to brew her special tea.

Look at the plate on the cross and Nancy will comment that the numbers are moveable. Push in 4154 to uncover several pictures, all of which can be found here in the park. Once you’re successful with the designs, Nancy comments that they’ll be shipped out. Talk to Heather and ask about her aspirations of becoming a fashion designer.

Malika (the veiled lady on your left as you enter the park):

The order in which the clocks need to be changed are clock 8, 1, 4, 7, 9, and 6. If you’re successful, a hidden passage is uncovered. Turn around, step forward and go down the second ladder. Turn around and go through the passage.

Jane's Game Portal

Nancy will translate the French words, but the clue actually lies in the French words themselves. The code used in this puzzle is just such a code. As you finish the last order, Nancy will comment and we will be back with Jean Mi. He will show us the uncropped picture which shows the stone disks (or "dials") before the paint had been splashed on them. Note the little arrows in these "dials" pointing at Roman numbers IX, V, and III.

The Dodo Box puzzles

Nancy will fly to Paris to start her new job working for Minette in her design studio. Upon arrival, however, you’ll hear someone screaming (it says the screams are in anger, although they sound more like someone giving birth). The person will throw a flower pot out through the door and a woman will emerge from the other room soon afterwards. If you have taken the six pictures shown earlier in this walkthrough, you will find Dieter back at his desk.

Now it’s up to you, as Nancy Drew, to work undercover in Paris and unravel this international mystery. Before leaving the underground passage, read the Ichi-Do book and keep in mind the different chi-crys that will tell you which move is about to be used. When you’re satisfied, leave the passage and go over to the dress platform and swipe the dress. Head back to the pinwheel and place the stake in the ground to the left of it. Attach the string and pie tin to it and the noise that it creates will repel the squirrel.

After you’ve caught all the cockroaches, walk over to the door and attempt to open it. Minette will slam it shut and won’t let Nancy out until after she’s left. After they’re done talking, leave the office and use the phone to call Lynn, but you’ll have to dial the phone card before dialing Lynn’s number. As you walk over to Marchand, you’ll find Dieter sitting on a bench nearby.

Step out of the close up and return to Dieter's studio. He is still in the dark room and will not talk to you any further. Click on the red magnifying glass to close up further and a dialog will follow. Click on the red magnifying glass again to get a close up of the top of the work table. Read the instructions sheet on your left.

Then type the following on your keyboard, pressing "Enter" after each entry. Well, that is all I can think of in terms of a general guide to the game. Following is a more detailed step-by-step walkthrough.
